Transparency and Ethical Leadership

Ethical leadership starts with accountability. I strongly advocate for implementing stricter conflict-of-interest rules for city officials and establishing robust oversight mechanisms to identify and address unethical behavior.

Corruption doesn’t always take the form of overt bribes; it can appear as favors, political pressure or cozy relationships with powerful entities. We need robust, transparent checks and balances to ensure that no special interest wields disproportionate influence over city decisions. By cultivating an ethos of honesty and openness, our government can truly serve the people of Evanston, reaffirming residents’ trust in the democratic process.
